Launching of the Nursery school at Tuinuane Molo Saw Mill Camp

On Wednesday 25th February 2009, Tuinuane Molo Saw Mill Camp residents held nursery school launching event where they invited the stakeholders to participate in the event. Miscc was presented by: – Maendeleo Endelevu Action Program (MEAP), Network for Ecofarming in Africa (NECOFA) and Friends of Kenya Schools and Wildlife (FKSW). Some of the other invited players did not show up giving varied reasons, however, the event was successful.

Children in the new classroomMISCC had contributed in purchasing the plot where the nursery was located at Ksh. 25,000, they likewise supported in construction of the desks and promised to provide allowance for the nursery teacher.

The villagers expressed their gratitude and thanked MISCC quoting that their children could now access education easily. The camp chairman Mr. Martin Kamau was also happy to announce that they had received stationery from other players signifying the good start of learning. He requested MISCC to officially open the nursery where Gwen Meyer the director of the Friends of Kenya Schools and Wildlife (FKSW) took the role and happily handed an exercise book to the teacher as a sign of opening. The nursery school children appeared happy in their new “classroom” and ready to start learning.

After the launching of the nursery, the MISCC representatives on their way back to Molo, Launching of the nursery schoolthrough Turi Sulgwita Secondary School where one beneficiary of scholarship an orphan girl Spinicah Moraa who joined form one this year 2009. Spinicah also lives in the Tuinuane Molo Saw Mill Camp village and again MISCC supported her and some other orphans to raise the amount required to get a plot in the village. The girl was comfortable in the new school and she appreciated the scholarship support very much and promised to work hard.
